Team
ZQ Capital’s investment team has over sixty years of combined experience in investment management, corporate advisory, and corporate leadership. Most have extensive work experience in both U.S. and Asia.
Simon Shen, Managing Partner and Founder
Mr. Shen is a seasoned investment banker with over a decade of professional experience on Wall Street. He was Managing Director and Head of China Financial Institutions Group at Barclays and worked for many years at Goldman Sachs in New York and Hong Kong. He advised many corporations globally in their capital markets and M&A activities and has extensive connections with entrepreneurs in China. Mr. Shen serves on the board of a number of public companies in the U.S. and Asia.
Simon graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Economics and Mathematics.
Richard Zheng, Managing Director
Richard has over 15 years of experience in M&A, private equity and general management. He previously worked at Lehman Brothers, Prudential Financial, Temasek, FountainVest, Fosun and Bank of China.
Richard graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Economics.
Liwen Chen, Managing Director and General Counsel
Liwen has over 10 years of capital markets and M&A legal experience. She previously worked at MagStone Law and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
Liwen holds a LL.B. from Fudan University and a LL.M. from Columbia Law School.
Andrew Yu, Vice President
Andrew is a former investment banker at Korea Development Bank with rich experience in corporate finance, restructuring, Asia capital markets, and collaboration with Asian financial institutions.
Andrew holds an MBA from Manchester University.
